About The Position
As a Retail Scan Associate at ScanScape, you will play a crucial role in collecting data that influences the shopping experience across various retail environments. Your primary responsibility will be to scan barcodes of products in stores, which helps assess and improve the performance of both the products and the stores themselves. This position offers a unique opportunity to work independently while enjoying flexible hours that can be tailored to fit your schedule. You will be visiting a variety of local retailers, including grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores, and mass merchandise outlets, to perform in-store data collections on a weekly basis. The job involves using a downloadable app on your personal device to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store. Depending on the size of the store and project requirements, you can expect to work anywhere from 2 to 20 hours per week. Your tasks will also include inventorying specific products within the store, which is critical to the data we deliver to our clients. This role not only provides workplace independence but also requires physical activity, as you will be on your feet for extended periods and may need to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. To succeed in this role, you must have a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
