About the position

The Retail Senior Systems Administrator at BetMGM is responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and performance tuning of mission-critical enterprise systems. This role involves serving as a technical expert in system design and administration, ensuring operational reliability, and providing leadership in project management and system support.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of BetMGM Retail locations by engaging with site contacts and monitoring system performance.
• Ensure proper documentation and communication of system downtime and equipment inventory.
• Apply revisions to host system firmware and software.
• Collaborate with vendors and partners to assist with support activities.
• Develop new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures.
• Train local technical staff on new software and hardware.
• Supervise Operations staff and vendors for implementation and maintenance.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts involving outside vendors and support personnel.
• Establish and manage user accounts and maintain systems and utility software.
• Develop procedures for security, backup, and restoration of systems.
• Coordinate project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts.
• Stay current with technological developments in systems administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience disciplines.
• 3+ years of work experience with enterprise systems design and support.
• Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, Windows system administration, and enterprise backup and recovery procedures.
• Effective project management techniques and principles of management and supervision.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and establish cooperation.

Nice-to-haves
