About the position

The Meat & Seafood Sales Associate at Acosta plays a crucial role in enhancing customer experience and driving sales in the fresh meat and seafood sections of retail stores. This part-time position involves engaging with customers, ensuring product quality, and maintaining displays, all while representing Acosta's brand and products effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of products we sell, ensuring the highest standard of quality assurance.
• Drive sales by becoming a product expert and sharing knowledge with customers to best represent our products.
• Create solutions for our customer base through suggestive selling, cross selling, and upselling, pairing items together for our customers.
• Adhere to proper fresh food handling procedures.
• Assist in any merchandising needed for our products, including rotating stock, cleaning and maintaining displays, pricing, checking date codes, and ensuring adherence to approved plan-o-gram.
• Identify product needs and confirm orders are placed for the respective areas covered.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED.
• Ability to work in cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).
• Working internet access and active email address.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, grasp and stand on a daily basis.
