The Retail Service Specialist position is a vital role within the Branch Operations of the Automobile Club of Southern California, primarily focused on providing exceptional member services. This position serves as the primary provider of DMV and Notary services, ensuring that members' needs are met efficiently and accurately. The Retail Service Specialist will support the branch at reception, assisting with member check-ins and distributing essential travel materials such as maps and tour books. In addition to these responsibilities, the role encompasses various travel-related functions, including making hotel and car reservations and offering domestic hotel packages. The Retail Service Specialist is tasked with maintaining high service quality levels and enhancing member relationships by identifying cross-sell opportunities based on members' product needs. This includes promoting automotive, financial products, and travel services, as well as providing leads to other departments such as insurance and life services. The position requires a strong understanding of DMV regulations and the ability to process Notary transactions in accordance with established procedures. In addition to member services, the Retail Service Specialist will perform administrative functions for the branch, such as balancing cash drawers, processing payments for memberships and insurance policies, and managing membership file changes.
