About the position

The Retail Service Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for providing exceptional service to retail and installer customers. This role supports store management in various tasks and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs.
• Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers and assist them in their selection of merchandise.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, answering calls according to company policy, and quoting prices accurately.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, process transactions, and make change accurately.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily operational tasks including freight receival, stocking shelves, and cleaning.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training is completed.
• Perform various in-store services for customers as allowed by state and local laws.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
