The Retail Service Specialist position at the Automobile Club of Southern California is a vital role within the Branch Operations unit, primarily focused on providing exceptional member services. This position serves as the primary provider of Member Services, which includes offering DMV and Notary services to members. The specialist will support the branch at reception, assisting with member check-ins and distributing essential travel materials such as maps and tour books. Additionally, the role encompasses supporting other branch functions related to travel, including making hotel and car reservations, as well as managing domestic hotel packages. In this role, the Retail Service Specialist is responsible for understanding and servicing the needs of members while maintaining high service quality levels. The position requires the ability to identify cross-sell opportunities based on members' product needs and to enhance member relationships by diversifying the use of products and services, which may include automotive, financial products, and travel resale materials. The specialist will also be tasked with meeting individual cross-sell goals and may perform select administrative functions for the branch. Key responsibilities include providing DMV registration services, maintaining current knowledge of DMV regulations, completing transactions according to DMV and Club policies, and processing Notary transactions in compliance with National Notary Association standards. The specialist will also prepare TripTiks, IDPs, process passport photos, and book travel arrangements. Administrative duties may involve balancing cash drawers, resolving discrepancies, and processing payments for memberships and insurance policies. The role demands a high level of accuracy and the ability to independently resolve complex member requests while adhering to established policies and procedures.
