About The Position

The Retail Shift Lead at Pet Food Express is responsible for coaching customers and leading Sales Associates in providing exceptional customer service and retail operations. This role involves engaging with customers, enhancing product knowledge, and ensuring a positive shopping experience while maintaining store standards and operations.

Requirements

• Passion for pets and people.
• Leadership experience, preferably in a retail setting.
• Eagerness to learn and grow with the company.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
• Ability to climb and balance using a ladder or step stool.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and engage in repetitive motions throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Actively approach and engage with customers, both human and pet.
• Answer customer questions about specific products.
• Provide tailored recommendations using the PFE Whole Life Approach.
• Participate in and lead daily training and continuous educational programs.
• Stay updated on new products and share knowledge with the team.
• Lead Sales Associates through store opening and closing procedures.
• Operate the cash register efficiently and friendly.
• Lead the unloading of shipments and restocking of products.
• Maintain store cleanliness and visual standards.
• Support a culture of honesty and loss prevention.
