About the position

As the Retail Assistant Store Manager, you are second in command in the retail space, reporting to the Retail Store Manager. You are primarily responsible for developing retail consultants, retail sales reporting, general sales support, and some administrative duties. Success in this role depends on superior organization, time management, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. This role requires a skilled individual who has the ability to identify problems, analyze information, and develop conceptual solutions to complex challenges. As the Retail Store Assistant Manager, you are the ambassador of our GTA Val-YOU's and you demonstrate them through practice in your day to day operations. Most importantly, this role observes and coaches internal talent to provide opportunities for career success.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Financial Growth through in-store customer engagement and relationship building.
  • Drive Sales and Revenue.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to properly engage and educate the customer in sales and support processes.
  • Assist with monitoring, organizing, and fulfilling inventory deliveries.
  • Meet and exceed assigned goals and objectives.
  • Provide a customer-focused experience with an optimistic and respectful approach.
  • Exhibit initiative and adaptability with a customer-focused mindset to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Demonstrate through application our mission, vision, and values as added service to our engagement with customers.
  • Consolidate all Quality of Work listings and maintain a neat and organized file to address any outstanding audits or corrections.
  • Inventory Management - Includes counts, orders, maintenance, receiving, returning, tracking, order fulfillment, securing equipment and supplies, pick-ups and deliveries as needed.
  • Audit - Includes cash handling, collections, service orders, inventory, auto pay.
  • Cash Management - Prepare and verify bank deposits and accounting work.
  • Ensure positive and clear communication with managers, subordinates, and all stakeholders involved in this role.
  • Encourage a self-development mindset and seek guidance where and when needed.
  • Possess the ability to promote the company culture and values to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
  • Strong sense of accountability and professional approach to work independently and in team environments.
  • Build relationships with GTA employees across channels to collectively and as efficiently resolve issues creating a cohesive and seamless working environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 + years of relevant work experience in Telecom industry or related field.
  • Work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays).
  • Work in other locations as the needs of the business as required.
  • Wear a uniform or company apparel as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems/software and computerized billing.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
