About the position
JD Sports Fashion is seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Associate to join our team in Modesto, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and customer service, focusing on providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product information, demonstrating features, and explaining benefits to customers. You will operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately while maintaining a clean and organized sales floor. Meeting and exceeding sales targets through upselling and cross-selling techniques is essential, as is staying up-to-date on product knowledge to effectively promote merchandise. Collaboration with team members to achieve store goals is also a key aspect of this role. This position is part-time, with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour. The expected hours are approximately 15 per week, with shifts that may include mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
