About the position

The Retail Store Management Trainee position is designed for individuals with prior retail management experience who are looking to advance quickly into a Store Management role. This position involves overseeing daily store operations, fostering a customer-centric environment, and collaborating with the Store Manager to achieve financial goals and enhance customer satisfaction. The role includes responsibilities such as training staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, including cash drawer management and asset protection procedures.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control and documentation.
• Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, and merchandising.
• Evaluate store financial statements to drive profitability.
• Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for integrity.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
• Communicate store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees.
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
