About the position

The Store Manager at Five Below is responsible for leading the store team to achieve operational excellence and drive sales. This role involves overseeing all aspects of store management, including customer service, merchandising, and team development, while ensuring compliance with company standards. The Store Manager plays a crucial role in creating a positive work environment and delivering an exceptional shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead the Merchandise Manager, Customer Service Manager, and all associates of the store.
• Ensure total store execution including customer service, merchandising standards, and operational procedures.
• Drive customer experience and sales goals.
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain associates and managers; identify internal talent for career development.
• Manage overall store standards to align with brand expectations.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling policies and procedures.
• Partner with District Manager and Human Resources for employee coaching and performance documentation.
• Review corporate communications and prioritize store needs accordingly.
• Manage payroll budgets and schedules using Kronos.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for associates and customers.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in retail store management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure.
• Creative thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in merchandising for at least 3 years.
