About the position

The Retail Store Manager at Bob's Discount Furniture is a key executive responsible for creating and maintaining the company's culture while ensuring a world-class customer service experience. This role involves overseeing all operations of the store, maximizing sales, maintaining safety and security, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The manager is expected to lead by example, mentor staff, and engage with the community to uphold the company's values of honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Spend 60% of time maintaining a visible floor presence
  • Meet and/or exceed store sales goals as directed by the Company
  • Maintain a visually appealing and safe facility
  • Accurately manage inventory
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are strictly enforced
  • Engage, encourage, mentor, and motivate direct and indirect reports
  • Identify and determine professional development opportunities
  • Work with Senior Management to ensure adequate staffing
  • Oversee employee discipline and relations issues in partnership with HR, Operations, and Loss Prevention
  • Establish community presence as a champion of honesty and integrity
