About the position

The Store Leader at GameStop is responsible for driving sales and ensuring exceptional guest service in a retail environment. This role involves managing store operations, leading a team of associates, and implementing sales initiatives to enhance customer experiences. The Store Leader works independently to influence store performance and is expected to make discretionary decisions regarding sales, marketing, and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure world-class guest service experiences for all guests.
• Drive sales and guest loyalty through effective solution selling techniques.
• Recruit, hire, assess, develop, and retain store associates committed to outstanding guest service.
• Provide timely feedback and conduct performance appraisals for store associates.
• Manage daily business transactions and ensure accurate reconciliation in the POS system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised store environment.
• Protect company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.
• Schedule store associates to achieve optimum guest service levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three or more years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience required; at least 1 year of retail management experience preferred.
• Proficient guest service skills and ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with multiple overlapping priorities.
• Proficient knowledge of operating a point-of-sale computer system.
