About the position
As a Retail Store Manager with PetSmart, you'll oversee all aspects of our retail store-from head to tail. From hiring & training knowledgeable associates to executing on strategic merchandising initiatives, you'll set the standard of success within our stores. It's no easy feat, but every day you come in to work you'll take pride in knowing that you're making a real difference for your associates, our pet parents, and pets in our care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operations of the store and create a customer-focused environment.
- Oversee hiring and training of associates.
- Execute strategic merchandising initiatives.
- Drive sales and traffic targets.
- Ensure customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Manage merchandising and inventory processes.
- Support associate leadership and development.
- Collaborate with service leaders in grooming and pet hotel operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to drive sales and meet performance targets.
- Knowledge of pet care products and services is a plus.
