About the position

The Retail Store Manager at Verizon is responsible for overseeing all retail store functions, ensuring the implementation of the company's vision, and driving high-performance results in a fast-paced sales environment. This role focuses on optimizing both customer and employee experiences while building and mentoring a sales team to exceed sales and service objectives. The manager will engage in sales strategy development, maintain store operations, and interact regularly with senior management on various functional matters.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all retail store functions and communicating the company vision.
  • Drive high-performance results in a demanding sales environment.
  • Focus on optimizing customer and employee experiences.
  • Build, develop, and mentor the sales team.
  • Provide hiring, performance management, and ongoing sales training.
  • Engage in sales strategy development to effectively showcase products and services.

  • Maintain store operations and ensure retail inventory compliance.
  • Engage in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing sales reports.
  • Interact with senior management on various functional areas.

Requirements

  • Six or more years of relevant experience in a sales environment.
  • Management experience in a commissions-based sales environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
