About the position

The Retail Supervisor at Yellowstone General Stores is responsible for overseeing and training retail team members while ensuring compliance with retail standards, policies, and procedures. This seasonal position offers a dynamic work environment in Yellowstone National Park, where the supervisor will engage with a diverse team and assist guests with their needs.

Responsibilities

• Trains Team Members and works to maintain retail standards, policies, and procedures.
• Monitors store floor, and assists with guests' needs and requests.
• Maintaining merchandise tables properly.
• Works with and answers to the Visual Merchandiser and the Store Manager and Asst. Manager.
• Regularly evaluates, creates, and maintains professional visual displays; provides direction to retail associates regarding store merchandising and displays.
• Ensures integrity of physical inventory and par levels.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the retail areas.
• Responsible for initiating conflict resolution strategies with guests and team members.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum one-year supervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate with staff and prepare written reports.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Basic math skills: ability to accurately handle money and count change.
• Prior Netsuites experience preferred.
