About the position

As a Retail Support Associate in the Ready-to-Wear department at Macy's, your primary role is to enhance the customer shopping experience by providing exceptional service and product knowledge. You will engage with customers, assist them in finding products, and maintain the sales floor to ensure a welcoming environment. This part-time position requires flexibility in scheduling and a passion for fashion and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Guide and inspire customers to enhance their shopping experience.
• Actively circulate the sales floor to determine customer needs and assist them accordingly.
• Share the benefits of Macy's loyalty programs with customers.
• Maintain operational excellence by leveraging the store's fulfillment system and merchandise standards.
• Ensure fitting rooms are customer-ready and assist customers in the fitting room with product knowledge.
• Achieve daily and weekly sales goals through effective customer engagement and upselling.
• Maintain and recover the selling floor, ensuring all sizes, colors, and styles are represented.

Requirements

• Good understanding of the products being sold and ability to provide expert guidance to customers.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and achieve sales goals.
• Proficiency in using point of sale technology and applications.
• Self-driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends through Macy's educational resources.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• Ability to collaborate with the team to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
