About the position
The Retail Team Lead at Northern Tool + Equipment is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining store organization, and supporting daily operations. This role involves greeting customers, managing merchandise, and leading by example while assisting the management team. The Team Lead will also serve as Manager on Duty for a portion of their time, ensuring a smooth store operation.
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous, professional service to best serve the needs of our customers.
- Maintain a neat and orderly store environment including the execution of merchandising, planograms, product displays and stocking shelves.
- Lead by example, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Support store leadership by serving as Manager on Duty (an average of 25% of time) and opening and closing the store.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of retail experience
- Ability to lead, guide and mentor store employees
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift up-to 70 lbs.

- Flexible availability and willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed
- A love of tools is appreciated but not required.
