About the position

The Retail Team Member Sales position at Goodwill North Central Texas involves providing excellent customer service and managing sales operations at the store. Responsibilities

  • Manage POS (Point-of-Sale) system and credit card terminal accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting them on the sales floor.
  • Maintain the appearance of the sales floor, including cleaning and restocking merchandise.
  • Assist with the maintenance of hangers and sizing of textiles on the sales floor.
  • Return empty racks and carts to the production area.
  • Perform all necessary cleaning functions in all areas of the store.
  • Answer telephones and assist with other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a work or educational setting demonstrating the ability to interact positively with the public or team is required.
  • One year of customer service experience dealing with the public is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in basic math and able to read and write.
  • Ability to operate computerized equipment (POS, credit card draft terminal, pricing system).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and associates.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a retail environment is a plus.
