About the position

The Retail Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading initiatives that enhance the retail experience for clients and store employees in North America. This role combines technical expertise, particularly in Cegid Y2, with project management skills to implement solutions that improve point-of-sale systems and other retail technologies. The position requires a strong presence in stores to collaborate with retail operations and ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and implementation of local retail improvement initiatives across the 5 Maisons.
  • Conduct digital and iPhone experience assessments and remediation.
  • Oversee printer and printing remediation across all stores.
  • Manage POS configuration assessments and remediation.
  • Roll out time tracking solutions and store hardware upgrades.
  • Lead regional implementation of centrally developed point-of-sales projects with stakeholders.
  • Manage project execution from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.
  • Define and supervise overall budget for equipment, vendors, and services required for projects.
  • Develop comprehensive regional project plans and define project scope and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and roadblocks during project implementation.
  • Conduct detailed testing and quality assurance procedures for implemented solutions.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with regional partners.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and knowledge base updates for onboarding.
  • Provide post-implementation hypercare support for regional issues.
  • Build and maintain retail labs environments for each of the 5 Maisons.
  • Serve as a regional subject matter expert on retail solutions and apps.
  • Configure and troubleshoot store systems, including POS terminals and associated software.
  • Investigate recurring issues and find opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with central IT teams to resolve technical issues and document bugs.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Cegid Y2 point-of-sale and mobile point-of-sale system.
  • Technical support experience with mobile devices and apps.
  • Familiarity with basic network and printer configurations.
  • 5 years of validated experience in technical project management within a retail environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong presentation skills to communicate technical information effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a multi-brand environment.
  • Language skills: French (major plus), Spanish or Italian (plus).
  • PMP certification.
  • Familiarity with Adyen, Avalara, Yoobic, UKG Dimension, Oracle Micros POS.
