About the position

The Retail Unit Facility and Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility management within specific units at IKEA. This role focuses on optimizing the value and efficiency of properties while ensuring a safe and operational environment for co-workers and customers. The manager will implement property management innovations and ensure compliance with FM guidelines, while also managing budgets, supplier contracts, and long-term planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Facility Management (FM) aspects through the unit FM teams.
• Optimize the value and efficiency of each property in a sustainable way.
• Provide a safe and operational environment for the business, co-workers, and customers.
• Implement property management innovations, digital and technical solutions.
• Ensure understanding of FM guidelines and initiatives among co-workers, service providers, and external partners.
• Manage long-term planning, budget estimation, execution, follow-up, forecasting, and reporting within the FM scope.
• Implement and evaluate supplier contracts to improve efficiencies, costs, equipment, and quality.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial Facilities role or similar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and coordinating with external service providers.
• Experience working with sustainability from a facility management perspective.
