About the position

The University of Missouri is seeking a Human Resources Consultant to join the Retirement team, responsible for providing support, education, and stewardship for the University of Missouri Retirement Plans. This role involves analytical oversight of retirement benefits calculations, customer service for faculty and staff, and collaboration with various departments to ensure compliance and effective plan administration.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and calculate defined benefit and health & welfare benefit eligibility.
  • Manage customer relations for all participants, responding to inquiries regarding Plan provisions and benefit entitlement.
  • Provide analytical support for the Voluntary Retirement Plans, including eligibility determination and processing requests.
  • Work directly with retirement plan vendors and various university departments on plan administration and auditing functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the University.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in human resources or retirement planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated analytical background and strong Excel skills.
  • Experience working with defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans.
  • Familiarity with university systems such as PeopleSoft and Perceptive Content.
