About the position

The Retirement Plan Administrator at Brixey & Meyer is responsible for managing all aspects of recordkeeping for client retirement plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and accurate processing of transactions. This role involves client interaction, project management, and data reporting, contributing to the firm's mission of making a meaningful impact for clients and within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile asset balances and process transactions such as distributions and loans.
  • Ensure compliance with plan documents and IRS/DOL regulations.
  • Prepare required reports and compliance tests, including Form 5500 and ADP/ACP.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Address client and auditor inquiries and support complex plan issues.
  • Oversee projects, review results, and develop corrective actions.
  • Participate in peer reviews and ensure accuracy in client communications.
  • Support plan design consultations, new business transitions, and conversions.
  • Perform plan calculations and handle special projects.
  • Maintain accurate work logs and manage deadlines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related TPA/retirement experience.
  • Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Windows environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Progress towards ASPPA certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience with Datair software.
