About the position

The Temporary Sales Support Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the store's success by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a well-organized sales environment. This position involves direct interaction with customers, managing cash wrap operations, and supporting stockroom activities to ensure a seamless flow of products. The associate is expected to leave a lasting impression on customers through friendly and efficient service while adhering to the brand's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers at the cash wrap with a smile and maintain eye contact.
  • Interact genuinely with customers to determine their needs.
  • Conduct email/name capture where permitted by law.
  • Maintain accuracy when operating the POS system and ensure cash wrap organization.
  • Suggest add-ons and sell gift cards to customers.
  • Receive shipments and notify management of new products.
  • Scan cartons and verify store information is correct.
  • Process shipments according to company standards and maintain stockroom organization.
  • Analyze sales floor to assess replenishment needs and execute visual merchandising.
  • Communicate product information effectively to customers.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
