About the position
The Revenue Cycle Application Analyst (Epic PB) at UC San Diego Health is responsible for overseeing various duties related to Information Technology applications, specifically focusing on Epic Resolute Professional Billing and related systems. This role involves designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating Revenue Cycle Information Systems, while collaborating closely with multiple departments and external vendors to ensure effective operations within the revenue cycle.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource for Epic Resolute Professional Billing and related applications.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and evaluate Revenue Cycle Information Systems.
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle operations and other departments to enhance system functionality.
- Work closely with third-party vendors and application teams to ensure seamless integration and support.
- Participate in clinical system implementations and provide ongoing support.
Requirements
- Seven years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related area plus three years of related experience.
- Must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within four months of hire and maintain certification as a condition of employment.
- Experience in information systems implementation and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.
Nice-to-haves
- Epic Certification in Resolute Professional Billing.
- Experience with Epic Professional Billing Claims/Remittance.
- Revenue Cycle Experience.
