About the position

The REV Program Manager will oversee the implementation of the Reimagining Electric Vehicle in Illinois Act, focusing on making Illinois a central hub for electric vehicle production in the U.S. This role involves developing tax incentives for eligible companies, reviewing applications, and promoting Illinois as a prime location for business in the clean energy sector. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating high-paying jobs in electric vehicles and battery manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes, controls, and evaluates business development incentives related to the Reimagining Electric Vehicles (REV) in Illinois Act.
  • Plans, manages, and controls the objectives of the Business Development Reimagining Electric Vehicles in Illinois Act.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on the REV Act regarding rules, application, and operationalization.
  • Acts as a full line supervisor.
  • Represents the agency before various private and public groups on state and local levels regarding the mission, goals, and program objectives of business development programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required within the scope of the position.

Requirements

  • Completion of four (4) years of college, preferably in business administration, public administration, or political science.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least one year of experience managing economic development programs, including grants, loans, tax incentives, or technical assistance.
  • Three or more years of professional experience in economics, marketing, and/or business administration.
  • Two or more years of experience in policy or document writing and review.
  • At least one year of experience managing government programs including tax incentives and grant programs.
  • Three years of experience developing program goals and measurable objectives.
  • Two years of experience working with business communities to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Three years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Two years of experience collecting and analyzing data, developing recommendations, and presenting them to executive staff.
