About the position

The Revenue Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting team at Handshake, focusing on order to cash operations, system automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate billing and collections processes.

Responsibilities

• Process customer billing runs in accordance with the customer contract terms
• Oversee daily cash applications process
• Review and analyze customer aging reports, follow up on overdue customer accounts, and suggest appropriate actions for collections
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve billing and reconciliation issues
• Perform month-end close responsibilities to ensure accounts receivable accuracy
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams to enhance billing and collections processes
• Participate in sales tax filing and monitor customer sales tax setup
• Drive system automation initiatives and develop operating procedures
• Actively participate in external audits and respond to inquiries related to accounts receivable
• Prepare ad hoc revenue reports

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, credit, and collections
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite
• Knowledge of accounting rules and practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of transactions and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
