About the position

The Revenue Accounting Consultant at Aston Carter is responsible for managing various accounting tasks related to revenue, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and supporting financial processes. This role involves preparing manual journals, completing account reconciliations, and providing audit support while maintaining a focus on continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manual journals as needed for related activity with adequate supporting documentation.
• Complete assigned related account reconciliations in Blackline per established deadlines.
• Respond to queries from Business and Controllership in a timely manner.
• Provide audit support as needed.
• Support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly Balance Sheet PL Flux analysis.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local rules and regulations.
• Support strengthening of financial processes and controls.
• Support local, regional, and global projects as required.
• Maintain focus on continuous process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Revenue accounting/Technical accounting experience.
• Moderate to high Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills to explain changes, report issues/challenges, and update stakeholders.
• Organizational skills to meet deadlines and keep organized workpapers.
• Experience in making journal entries.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3-5 years of recent relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with JDE JD Edwards, Blackline, and Alteryx.
