About the position
The Revenue Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in a leading global hospitality company, focusing on establishing and maintaining revenue recognition policies and internal controls in compliance with ASC 606. This position involves streamlining processes, overseeing a team of accountants, managing international collections, and generating key revenue reports.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain revenue recognition policies to ensure revenue is properly recorded and reported
- Streamline and automate policies, processes, and controls for growth
- Oversee monthly billing and revenue entries ensuring their accuracy and completeness
- Manage, mentor, and develop a strong team of accounting professionals
- Oversee the international collections process and update bad debt analysis
- Create and maintain key revenue reports, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage ad hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of experience with a foundation in public accounting
- CPA required
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606
- Strong analytical skills
