About the position

The Revenue Analyst position at Workday involves partnering with various stakeholders to ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting. The role requires a skilled communicator who can navigate the complexities of revenue accounting in a fast-paced environment, focusing on compliance with accounting standards and effective collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with key stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Dealdesk, Sales Ops, Finance) during the negotiation phase of deals, advising on key terms and revenue recognition.
• Understand business issues and provide guidance within the framework of accounting standards.
• Manage workflow to provide timely feedback and keep management informed of key issues.
• Document reviews in accordance with relevant accounting standards with attention to detail.
• Perform contract analysis and prepare revenue schedules to verify accurate recording of subscription contracts.
• Own reconciliations and processes within the worldwide revenue close cycle.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key revenue data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper processing and accounting of fully executed agreements.
• Work with Dealdesk and Legal to improve the contract management process.
• Maintain documentation for business processes and compliance-related work.
• Assist with special projects and drive them to successful completion.

Requirements

• 3+ years related experience in Revenue / Technical Accounting (compliance with ASC 606)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SaaS / Technology industry
• Big 4 experience preferred
• Strong accountability and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Understanding of global quote-to-cash business processes and best practices
• Advanced skills in Excel, Salesforce, Apttus, and experience using Workday
