About the position

The Revenue Strategy & Analysis position is responsible for implementing revenue management operations, procedures, and best practices within the hotel. This role involves identifying new revenue opportunities, optimizing and expanding distribution partnerships, and overseeing the revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel. The individual will manage day-to-day yield operations, conduct daily pick-up analysis, make strategy adjustments, and provide reporting on performance metrics. Additionally, the role includes performing competitive benchmark studies, following market trends, and providing a weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons. The position also entails managing the strategy for all third-party distribution and assessing, analyzing, and pricing group business strategies. The individual will analyze overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary reports with recommendations for long-term strategy improvements. Ensuring that all related systems are configured correctly and functioning at full capacity is also a key responsibility, along with maintaining the website booking process and ensuring data quality. The role requires conducting quarterly property performance reviews and developing strategic and tactical actions, as well as evaluating the performance of distribution partners and contracted rates. The individual will prepare outlines for and support the annual revenue budget process and inspire the hotel's Heads of Departments (HODs) to embed a revenue management culture.

Responsibilities

  • Implement revenue management operations, procedures and best practices.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Optimize and expand distribution partnerships.
  • Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel and manage day to day yield operations.
  • Conduct daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting.
  • Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends.
  • Provide a weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons.
  • Manage and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution.
  • Assess, analyze and price group business strategies.
  • Analyze overall monthly hotel performance and provide a summary report with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.
  • Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity.
  • Maintain the website booking process to be up-to-date and functional.
  • Regularly check the input and quality of data (segmentation, denials tracking, etc.).
  • Conduct quarterly property performance reviews and develop strategic and tactical action plans.
  • Establish best practice standards including competitor analysis, environmental scanning, market modeling, distribution yield management, business mix yield management, length of stay yield management, inventory availability by channel, pricing control and new pricing concepts.
  • Evaluate the performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, crew, groups, etc.).
  • Prepare an outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.
  • Inspire Hotel's HODs to further embed a revenue management culture.

Requirements

  • Experience in Hotel Revenue Management or related departments such as reservations and operations.
  • Strong command of both written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, or Economic Studies.
  • Highly computer literate with a high-level command of Excel/PowerBI or other data analysis and billing tools.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets.
