About the position

The Revenue Analyst position at Workday is a pivotal role within the Revenue Recognition Accounting Team, focusing on ensuring accuracy and transparency in revenue recognition. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders during the negotiation phase of deals, providing guidance on accounting standards, and managing workflows to ensure timely reporting of revenue data. Responsibilities

• Partner with key stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Dealdesk, Sales Ops, Finance) on deals during the negotiation phase, advising on how to structure key terms and communicating how revenue will be booked and recognized.
• Understand business issues and work within the framework of accounting standards to provide effective guidance.
• Manage workflow to provide timely feedback and keep management aware of key issues.
• Document reviews in accordance with relevant accounting standards with attention to detail.
• Perform contract analysis review and prepare related revenue schedules to verify subscription contracts have been accurately recorded.
• Own reconciliations and other processes within the worldwide revenue close cycle.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of key revenue data.
• Collaborate with Order-to-Cash cross-functional teams to ensure all fully executed agreements are properly processed and accounted for.
• Work with Dealdesk and Legal to improve the contract management process.
• Maintain documentation for all business processes and compliance-related work.
• Assist with special projects and drive them to successful completion.

Requirements

• 3+ years related experience in Revenue / Technical Accounting (compliance with ASC 606)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SaaS / Technology industry preferred
• Big 4 experience preferred
• Advanced skills in Excel, Salesforce, Apttus, and experience using Workday
