About the position

The Revenue Auditor is responsible for accurately recording daily audit totals to ensure smooth operations within the Revenue Accounting Department. This role involves various financial activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Enter daily information into Revenue Audit Report forms and run back-up reports.
  • Prepare journal entries and track coupons used on property.
  • Sort and record complimentary receipts.
  • Reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
  • Assist with monitoring all financial activities related to Revenue Accounting.
  • Evaluate situations regarding Revenue Audits and determine appropriate actions.
  • Ensure high levels of service and satisfaction in Revenue Accounting.
  • Facilitate information flow by attending departmental meetings.
  • Maintain accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Maintain a consistent attendance record.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years General Ledger experience required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Some college courses in accounting or related area preferred.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills required.
  • Experience with audits preferred.
  • Extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate, with superior spreadsheet skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Casino experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in applicable software highly preferred.
