About the position

The Revenue Contract Analyst plays a crucial role in the setup and maintenance of customer contracts within Workday, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and that the company's policies and procedures are adhered to consistently. This position requires the development of collaborative relationships with client teams, guiding them through the processes necessary for effective contract management. The analyst will perform risk assessments of contract terms to identify potential risks to the business, ensuring that all cost elements are accurately accounted for during the contract setup process in Workday. In addition to contract setup, the Revenue Contract Analyst will partner with accounting and billing teams to ensure that contracts are structured appropriately to facilitate revenue recognition and billing processes. The role also involves supporting post-contract activities, including managing change orders, modifications, and the closing of contracts. The analyst will assist with revenue and billing month-end close processes and respond to year-end audit requests as needed. A key responsibility is to review transactions to ensure accurate reporting, along with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. This position is ideal for individuals who possess a strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and the ability to learn quickly. Outstanding written and oral communication skills are essential, as the analyst must be able to express complex situations clearly. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is required, along with knowledge of contract setup and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop collaborative relationships with client teams while helping client teams follow processes
  • Perform risk assessment of contract terms to determine potential risks to the business
  • Complete contract setup in Workday based on terms and conditions observed in contract and ensure that all cost elements are appropriately accounted for
  • Partner with accounting and billing teams to ensure that contracts are setup appropriately to accommodate revenue recognition and billing
  • Support post-contract activities consisting of change orders, modifications, and closing of contracts
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to consistently throughout the contract
  • Assist with revenue and billing month-end close processes
  • Assist with year-end audit requests as needed
  • Review transactions to ensure accurate reporting
  • Other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or similar discipline
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability to learn quickly
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, ability to express complex situations clearly
  • Strong knowledge of contract setup
  • Ability to maintain strict deadlines and ensure responsibilities are completed in a timely fashion
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Expert with Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
  • ASC 606 experience, a plus
  • Workday experience, a plus
