About the position

As a Revenue Cycle Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Clinical Department and the revenue cycle by performing charge capture analysis. This full-time salaried position requires a hybrid work model, which includes some on-site work at North/Northwest region hospitals for meetings. You will work closely with the Operations Director to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency in our charge master, which is vital for the financial health of our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying charge capture opportunities and compliance issues within revenue-producing departments. You will research billing and coding regulations and communicate necessary changes to the impacted areas, ensuring that policies affecting financial operations, patient care, billing, and coding are implemented effectively. Your attention to detail will be essential as you review departmental front-end charge capture tools for accuracy and take action to ensure correct charging on patient accounts. As a liaison between Revenue Cycle, IT, and clinical departments, you will resolve any issues related to Epic or the charge master. Your ability to deliver concrete results while demonstrating resilience and resourcefulness will be key to your success. You will also support finance, operations, and revenue cycle teams through special projects, maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies. Confidentiality is paramount, and you will be responsible for protecting financial and patient information while managing charge capture in areas impacted by Epic workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Identify charge capture opportunities or compliance issues in revenue producing departments.
  • Research billing and coding regulations.
  • Communicate and assist in implementing necessary changes to impacted areas affecting policy, financial, charge capture, patient care, billing, and coding operations.
  • Review departmental front-end charge capture tools for accuracy.
  • Take necessary action to ensure accurate charging on patient accounts.
  • Liaison with Revenue Cycle, IT, and clinical departments to resolve Epic or charge master issues.
  • Deliver concrete, relevant results consistently.
  • Display qualities of resiliency and resourcefulness while thinking strategically and practically when problem solving.
  • Support finance, operations, and revenue cycle teams through special projects.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or 10+ years of equivalent experience with progressive advancement.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and accounting skills.
  • High level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Moderate/Advanced understanding of CPT coding and third-party billing requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience with Medicare/Medicaid regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare finance experience.
  • EPIC Certification (Resolute Charge Capture).
  • RHIA preferred or related healthcare credential (e.g., Radiology technician, RN).
