The Revenue Cycle Analyst position at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) involves managing data collection and analytics to support patient financial services. Responsibilities

  • Manage data analysis and quality assurance for PFS departments, including compiling reports and operationalizing KPI metrics.
  • Run and distribute metric reports to quantify and compare actual versus expected outcomes.
  • Pull data from source systems and create analytic summaries, ensuring data validity and accuracy.
  • Utilize EPIC reporting and Slicer Dicer to create standard reports for leadership.
  • Identify payor trends and summarize findings for management.
  • Document findings and root causes of issues.
  • Analyze productivity standards and create dashboards to monitor department performance.
  • Support internal projects by leading data investigations and communicating findings to personnel.
  • Document and disseminate operational policies and procedures, and workflows as needed.
  • Identify, report, and track system-related operational issues, implementing solutions and monitoring fixes.
  • Maintain a leadership role in financial systems installs and upgrades.
  • Provide creative solutions to operational challenges and assist in making data-driven recommendations.
  • Support leaders in department-led committees by managing agendas and project timelines.
  • Monitor daily KPI tracking to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • At least three (3) years work experience in a healthcare finance, accounting, billing, or business role/environment Required
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas Required
  • Excellent presentation skills and comfort presenting findings to staff and management Required
  • Strong understanding of Patient Financial Services procedures and operations Required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills Required
  • Strong interpersonal skills Required
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently Required
  • Ability to implement procedural changes and monitor progress Required
  • Certified Patient Financial Services Specialist or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative within 6 months Required
