About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst II position is a critical role within the healthcare information systems domain, focusing on the design, development, implementation, and operational management of revenue cycle information systems. This position operates under minimal supervision and requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors, and leadership. The incumbent will be responsible for working with a range of systems such as PBAR, Siemens MedSeries 4, Cerner, Change Healthcare, nThrive (MedAssets) Suite, Relay Assurance Plus, Visiquate, GE Centricity, and PatientKeeper, among others. In this role, the analyst will identify and document information technology design specifications based on a thorough analysis and assessment of user needs. This includes generating need-gap analyses to ensure that the systems meet the operational requirements of the organization. The analyst will leverage their expert knowledge to define system scope and objectives, analyze existing or proposed systems, and devise or modify procedures to address identified problems using data processing techniques. The position also entails a strong emphasis on customer service, requiring the analyst to efficiently and professionally address customer questions, concerns, and enhancement requests. The ability to analyze requirements, formulate project scope and objectives, and develop innovative solutions to meet organizational needs is essential. Additionally, the analyst will be expected to generate both standard and custom reports using various reporting tools, train new staff members on applicable systems, and fulfill on-call duties as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Work with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors, and leadership to design, develop, implement, and operationalize revenue cycle information systems.
  • Identify and document information technology design specifications based on user needs analysis.
  • Generate need-gap analyses to ensure systems meet operational requirements.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and modify procedures to solve problems using data processing techniques.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and enhancement requests efficiently and professionally.
  • Analyze requirements, formulate scope and objectives, and develop solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Generate standard and custom reports using tools such as IBM Showcase, QlikView, Cerner Command Language (CCL), OnDemand, and Siemens MedSeries 4 Query/Reports.
  • Train new staff members on applicable systems and applications.
  • Fulfill on-call duties and perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 6 years of relevant experience required.
  • High School Diploma is a Must!
  • 3-5 years of experience with Soarian application and HL7 interface troubleshooting.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an IS healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity and experience with systems like 3M, PBAR, MedSeries4, Change Healthcare, nThrive, and PatientKeeper is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills to address customer questions and concerns efficiently.
  • Experience in solution design and development, including analyzing requirements and formulating scope and objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to propose innovative solutions and improve system workflows.
  • Technical knowledge of application build, design, technical infrastructure, and industry best practices.
  • Project management skills to work independently on projects, establish goals, monitor progress, and complete tasks on time and on budget.
  • Reporting and analytics skills to generate reports using various tools.
