About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is responsible for facilitating data and analytics initiatives related to the revenue cycle. This role acts as a bridge between clients, stakeholders, and the assigned team, focusing on optimizing reimbursement through data analysis and reporting. The analyst will work on projects of intermediate complexity, identifying business needs and producing comprehensive reports to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate data gathering, trending, reporting, monitoring, and analysis related to the revenue cycle.
• Act as a liaison between clients, stakeholders, and the assigned team to optimize reimbursement.
• Produce, analyze, validate, and document business, organizational, and operational requirements.
• Communicate effectively with various departments to eliminate barriers to account resolution.
• Engage with customers and provide insights to leaders and committees.
• Develop and maintain ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and variances for optimal reimbursement.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of data collected for decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
• Three years of experience supporting revenue cycle functions.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex findings in an understandable manner.
• Experience with spreadsheet, database, and word-processing software.

• Knowledge of Performance Improvement methodologies.
