About the position

The Application Analyst II serves as a system expert for the Professional Billing Epic Revenue Cycle Application, focusing on resolving application issues and supporting vendor-supplied improvements. This role is essential in ensuring the effective functioning of the revenue cycle processes in alignment with the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the system design, build validation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of designated Epic applications.
• Documents user workflows and design decisions thoroughly.
• Provides world-class customer service while resolving issues and problems.
• Investigates problems with peers to determine if escalation is necessary.
• Works directly with Epic Vendor support as needed.
• Champions Revenue Cycle systems to achieve identified benefits.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Supports a variety of staff as a team player.
• Displays a caring and responsive attitude towards patients, families, and employees.
• Demonstrates sound cost containment techniques.
• Adheres to established safety requirements and procedures.
• Maintains and evaluates own clinical expertise and practice.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures.
• Completes annual performance and competency evaluations with management.
• Participates in department quality improvement and safety programs.

Requirements

• Experience with Professional Billing (PB) build in Epic Revenue Cycle Application.
• Strong problem resolution skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to document workflows and design decisions effectively.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to take on projects and improve knowledge.

Nice-to-haves

• Epic build experience with Credits, Self-Pay Collections, Patient Statements, Financial Assistance, and Estimates.
