About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center plays a crucial role in auditing and evaluating revenue cycle processes within Physician Billing Services and other departments. This position involves effective communication with staff at all levels, proactive problem-solving, and presenting solutions to management. The analyst will support supervisors in identifying issues, improving efficiencies, and ensuring accurate billing processes, while also participating in special projects and providing training to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and evaluate revenue cycle processes within Physician Billing Services and other departments.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Support supervisors in identifying issues and improving workflow efficiencies.
  • Review and analyze internal and client work queues as needed.
  • Identify variances and areas for improvement, communicating findings to management.
  • Assist in maintaining Payer Plan structure within EPIC for billing requirements.
  • Understand services provided by clients and ensure accurate billing to payers.
  • Support training for team members and address reported issues collaboratively.
  • Participate in special projects with direct managers and supervisors.
  • Perform detailed analyses on PBS workflows and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in validating Epic configuration and make optimization recommendations.
  • Provide status updates on projects and develop reports to track progress.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or a related major preferred.
  • CPC Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as an analyst (data, financial, business, or related) required.
  • 5+ years collection experience, with at least one year's experience navigating various data models preferred.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to gather, prepare, track, document training materials, and provide training to users.
  • Excellent business analytical skills and general knowledge of statistics.
  • Ability to produce quality work within department standards and complete training on required Epic modules.
