About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst plays a crucial role in auditing and evaluating the revenue cycle processes within Physician Billing Services (PBS) and other departments. This position involves effective communication with staff at all levels, proactive problem-solving, and presenting solutions to management. The analyst supports supervisors in identifying issues, improving workflow efficiencies, and ensuring accurate billing processes, while also participating in training and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and evaluate revenue cycle processes within Physician Billing Services (PBS) and other departments.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Support supervisors in identifying issues and improving efficiencies between PBS and client groups.
  • Review and analyze internal and client work queues as needed.
  • Identify variances and areas for improvement, communicating effectively with the PB Management team.
  • Assist in maintaining Payer Plan structure within EPIC to support PB billing requirements.
  • Support training team members and address reported issues collaboratively.
  • Guide and participate in special projects with direct Managers and Supervisors.
  • Perform detailed analyses on current and future PBS workflows and provide recommendations for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Assist in validating Epic configuration build and make optimization recommendations.
  • Provide recurring status updates to respective parties over the lifetime of a project.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or a related major preferred.
  • CPC Certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of proven experience as an analyst (data, financial, business, or related) required.
  • 5+ years collection experience, with at least one year's experience navigating various data models preferred.
  • Good communication skills and a clear understanding of Windows based applications (like Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Ability to gather, prepare, track, document, and provide appropriate training to other users.
  • Excellent business analytical skills and general knowledge of statistics.
  • Ability to produce quality work within expected standards of department.
