About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst plays a crucial role in auditing and evaluating revenue cycle processes within Physician Billing Services (PBS) and other departments. This position requires effective communication with staff at all levels, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to present issues along with solutions to management teams. The analyst will support supervisors and managers in identifying workflow inefficiencies, analyzing processes, and improving overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Audit and evaluate revenue cycle processes within Physician Billing Services (PBS) and other departments.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Support supervisors and managers in identifying issues and improving efficiencies.
• Review and analyze internal and client work queues as needed.
• Identify variances and areas for improvement and communicate findings to management.
• Assist in maintaining Payer Plan structure within EPIC for billing requirements.
• Support training of team members and address reported issues collaboratively.
• Conduct detailed analyses on current and future PBS workflows and provide recommendations.
• Validate Epic configuration build and make optimization recommendations.
• Provide status updates on projects to respective parties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or a related major preferred.
• CPC Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as an analyst (data, financial, business, or related) required.
• 5+ years collection experience, with at least one year's experience navigating various data models preferred.
• Good communication skills and understanding of Windows based applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to gather, prepare, track, document training materials and provide training to users.
• Excellent business analytical skills and general knowledge of statistics.
