About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Grand View Health plays a crucial role in supporting the business solutions within the Revenue Cycle solutions portfolio. This includes charge services, revenue integrity, health information management, and patient accounting. The analyst is responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of revenue cycle applications, ensuring that these systems effectively meet the operational needs of the organization. The position requires collaboration with various Revenue Cycle departments to evaluate system designs and recommend modifications that align with desired objectives. In this role, the analyst will provide technical support to various entities as needed, coordinating work assignments to meet deadlines and ensure progress toward completion. A significant part of the job involves sharing expertise with team members and assisting users with training and the development of user documentation. The analyst will also be tasked with developing system designs, including functional specifications, and implementing strategies based on operational analyses. The Revenue Cycle Analyst will evaluate, design, build, test, and implement both custom and vendor-supplied software, while also developing systemwide reports to support information management needs. Maintaining production systems for reliable performance is essential, as is preparing comprehensive test plans and methodologies. The analyst will provide day-to-day operational support to customers, coordinate efforts among stakeholders to gather requirements, and develop technical specifications for system enhancements. Identifying data integrity issues and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities are also key responsibilities. The analyst will work effectively on project teams, ensuring that all project deadlines are met and that integration points with revenue cycle and clinical solutions are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business solutions within the Revenue Cycle solutions portfolio, including charge services/revenue integrity, health information management, and patient accounting.
  • Assist with the implementation and ongoing support of revenue cycle applications.
  • Evaluate system designs and recommend modifications to meet operational objectives.
  • Provide technical support to various entities as needed.
  • Coordinate work assignments to meet deadlines and ensure progress toward completion.
  • Assist users with training and development of user documentation.
  • Develop system designs, including functional specifications, based on operational needs analysis.
  • Evaluate, design, build, test, and implement custom or vendor-supplied software.
  • Develop systemwide reports to support information management needs.
  • Maintain production systems to ensure reliable performance.
  • Prepare complete unit, system, and integrated test plans and methodologies.
  • Provide day-to-day operations support to customers as required.
  • Coordinate efforts between stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical specifications.
  • Identify data integrity issues and analyze data and process flows for improvement opportunities.
  • Perform data analysis to extract requirements and ensure accurate processing and reporting.
  • Work effectively on project teams and meet deadlines according to project manager's expectations.
  • Build, test, and maintain integration points with revenue cycle and clinical solutions.
  • Provide ongoing application support and troubleshoot problems as they arise.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and over 5 to 7 years of equivalent revenue cycle experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience with MEDITECH application or other revenue cycle application.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • General familiarity with user business practices, concepts, and terminology sufficient to support the applications preferred.
  • Experience in building dictionaries or tables for revenue cycle highly preferred.
