About the position

As a Revenue Cycle Analyst for Workers' Comp at R1 RCM, you will play a crucial role in managing the workers' compensation receivables for our hospital clients. This position involves a comprehensive approach to billing and collections, ensuring that our clients receive the payments they are entitled to for the care they provide. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire process from billing to final collection, which includes identifying and recovering underpayments through retrospective analysis. Your daily tasks will involve direct interaction with workers' compensation insurance companies, where you will review and research denials and underpayments, file appeals, and resolve payment disputes. Additionally, you will be involved in both internal and external reporting, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations team. In this role, you will need to maintain a high level of client service while working towards achieving monthly goals. Effective communication is key, as you will need to articulate billing, fee schedule, and contract details to various stakeholders to facilitate proper reimbursement. You will also be expected to closely examine contract language and provide feedback to data modeling efforts to ensure accurate pricing. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you support algorithm research and development aimed at processing hospital data to recover revenue for our clients. Regular communication with key stakeholders and upper management will be essential to keep everyone informed and aligned on project outcomes. R1 RCM values flexibility, and while this position allows for flexible working arrangements, you may be required to visit R1 offices periodically. There is also potential for direct client interaction and modest travel, which will enhance your experience and professional growth within the company.
