About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst will be responsible for data collection, report production, and comprehensive financial analysis to support internal operations and revenue cycle functions. This role involves monitoring revenue cycle activities, assisting in charge automation initiatives, and collaborating with business partners on programming enhancements and system upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for data collection, report production, and comprehensive financial analysis of information in support of internal operations and revenue cycle functions.
  • Monitor revenue cycle activities and system interfaces between various charge capture systems.
  • Assist in charge automation initiatives and collaborate with Revenue cycle business partners regarding programming enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Retrieve data for standard and ad hoc reporting as needed or requested.
  • Analyze data warehouse trends to determine where variances are occurring and develop reports to identify root causes of the variances.
  • Summarize information, data, and recommendations, and prepare presentation materials.
  • Present findings to management and make recommendations based upon overall analysis to effectively monitor areas of opportunity/risk.
  • Create/develop regular and ad-hoc reports.
  • Perform Payor Policy analysis and review.
  • Complete denial and Revenue Cycle trending.
  • Use independent judgment to resolve issues and complete complex/special assignments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years revenue cycle analysis experience
  • 5+ years medical billing experience
  • 5+ years experience with anesthesia medical group
  • Excellent computer skills with expertise in Excel
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI (or equivalent)
  • Expert knowledge of anesthesia billing, revenue cycle processes, and payer reimbursement
  • Skill to read and correctly interpret governmental and commercial payor regulations
  • Expert knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and Diagnosis (ICD-10) codes
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
