About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Freed Maxick will support client engagements primarily within the Revenue Cycle team, contributing to financial transformation in the healthcare sector. This role involves analyzing large datasets, collaborating with healthcare providers, and providing actionable insights to improve revenue cycle operations. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and exposure to various engagements within the Healthcare Consulting Practice.

Responsibilities

  • Manipulate and analyze large data sets while collaborating with subject matter experts to interpret analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Identify and implement strategies to validate data inputs and analysis results to ensure integrity.
  • Prepare report deliverables to summarize data analysis findings in a format to drive decision-making.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, to understand objectives and analytical support required.
  • Work with front-line staff of clientele to understand current revenue cycle processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess current state processes and make recommendations for enhancements, including redesigning and documenting workflows.
  • Develop and assist in the implementation of detailed project work plans based on data-driven analysis.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of presentations to client stakeholders.
  • Identify and escalate project issues and risks to engagement leaders regarding scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Health Informatics or related field.
  • 2 - 10 years of professional experience in revenue cycle analysis within a healthcare provider setting or in a consulting role.
  • Strong project management fundamentals.
  • Ability to work with large data sets.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, look ups, etc.).
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex business issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to stay up to date with industry trends, market challenges and emerging technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's in Business Administration or Masters in Healthcare Administration preferred but not required.
  • Relevant certifications a plus (CPC, CRCR, CCS, RHIA, CAPM, PMP, etc.).
