About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Root Center for Advanced Recovery plays a crucial role in managing the revenue cycle, working closely with the Billing Manager and Revenue Cycle Coordinator. This position focuses on systems and reporting integration to enhance revenue cycle management, including the implementation of EPIC and new service line billing. The analyst will be responsible for billing compliance, report development, and staff training, ensuring efficient billing processes and timely payment from insurers and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule reporting and dashboards to optimize the revenue cycle.
  • Identify and provide feedback on billing abnormalities resulting in non-payment of claims.
  • Serve as a liaison with EPIC and SAMMS to develop and implement revenue cycle management tools.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on processing unpaid claims.
  • Gather and exchange information with providers and practice personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of medical billing experience, preferably in behavioral health professional fee billing.
  • Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding for compliant billing.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Professional certification (e.g., AAPC) in behavioral health coding preferred.
  • Experience with SAMMS and/or EPIC preferred.
  • Experience with report writing and development in Power BI, SQL, and/or Crystal Reports preferred.
