About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Silverado plays a crucial role in optimizing hospice billing processes and ensuring smooth financial operations. This position involves collaboration with various teams across Finance, Clinical, and Operations to maintain accurate billing, comply with regulations, and maximize reimbursements from Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance providers. The analyst will identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and improve processes to enhance revenue flow efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (cash collections, AR aging, DSO, etc.) to support revenue cycle management.
  • Create and analyze both regular and ad-hoc reports, ensuring data accuracy and identifying issues.
  • Resolve discrepancies in billing and payments, recommend solutions, and implement improvements.
  • Assist with new software implementations and evaluate system upgrades for process enhancements.
  • Track and resolve claim denials and rejections, ensuring timely follow-up and clean claim submission.
  • Support month-end close activities by validating revenue, reconciling AR, and preparing journal entries.
  • Lead projects and process improvements to enhance revenue recognition and collection efficiency.
  • Work closely with the VP of Revenue Cycle Management on special assignments and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3 years' experience in healthcare finance or a master's degree (preferred).
  • 2-4 years of experience in hospice or healthcare billing, with a focus on Medicare/Medicaid.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Excellent communication skills to present data and recommendations clearly.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance provider billing processes.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer software skills; adept at MS Office application, with advanced Excel skills.
