About the position

IDR is seeking a Power BI Developer to join one of our top healthcare clients. This position offers a fully remote opportunity and is designed for a long-term engagement. The Power BI Developer will report directly to the Manager of Analytics & Reporting. The primary focus of this role is to enhance the BI Core Analytics by adding new functionalities and replacing outdated features. The developer will be responsible for building a new tool-agnostic reporting sub-structure that will facilitate the replacement of existing Ad-hoc, OLAP, and Monthly Data Reporting tools using Power BI. Additionally, the role involves creating new and improved functionalities to streamline workflows for Analytics & Reporting, ensuring efficient client delivery. The developer will also establish reusable source code that can be utilized across various applications and reporting tools/databases within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Build a new tool-agnostic reporting sub-structure to replace existing reporting tools using Power BI.
• Develop new and enhanced functionalities to streamline workflows for Analytics & Reporting.
• Establish reusable source code across multiple applications and reporting tools/databases.
• Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Create advanced Power BI visual presentations including dashboards, metrics, and reports.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Power BI report development experience.
• Proficient in Excel and T-SQL.
• Experience in requirements gathering.
• Strong data modeling skills in Power BI.
• Advanced skills in Power BI visual presentation (dashboards, metrics, reports, etc.).
• Thorough understanding of Power Query for ETL and DAX for report building in Power BI.

Nice-to-haves

• Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
