About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining the revenue cycle for patient billing and collections at EmergeOrtho. This position involves reviewing and updating patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and resolving patient account issues to ensure timely and accurate payments. The analyst will also provide analytical support and reporting to revenue cycle teams, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and document revenue cycle data sources of truth and data definitions per project, including alternative payment models and bundles.
• Access practice management software/EMR and other databases to provide analytical support and reporting to revenue cycle teams and/or initiatives.
• Develop and maintain standards to measure the effectiveness of all aspects of the revenue cycle, including statistical data for monthly reports (denial reports, late charge reports).
• Keep apprised of rules and regulations affecting reimbursement and revenue cycle.
• Assist leadership in developing roadmaps for all applications in the revenue cycle solutions.
• Document and determine business requirements, business processes, output requirements, and technical feasibility of new or existing solutions within the revenue cycle solutions.
• Develop testing scenarios and document outcomes for all solutions within the revenue cycle.
• Provide general troubleshooting and system support, implementation planning, testing, communication, and training.
• Summarize data and provide direct commentary or insight into data results.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years' experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
